Julie

On May 28th, 2009 my best friend Julie was diagnosed with stage IIIc, triple negative breast cancer.  Julie was 37 at the time of her diagnosis which of course eliminated any annual mammograms performed at an annual doctors visit. Luckily through a self exam she discovered a lump and went in to be checked. It turned out being the other breast, but it was caught and eradicated through a double mastectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments.  As of February 2010, Julie is cancer-free!
